Pepi Taonga Gift Set

Our beautiful Pēpi birth sets include 1x Ipu whenua and 1x muka pito tie. These taonga sets make the most precious and special gift for expecting parents and their new pēpi. 

Our Ipu whenua are a lovely all natural and biodegradable option to bury and return your pēpi placenta and muka pito tie to Papatūānuku (Mother Earth). Beautifully hand woven from harakeke by the talented Maryrose Rangihuna.

Measurements: 170mm x 110mm high 

The Muka pito tie is a beautiful natural alternative to your normal plastic umbilical cord clamp. Handmade with aroha by a beautiful mama of four tamariki which includes triplets. 

• It has its own natural antiseptic qualities
• Easy and gentle to use on babies skin
• Tied off with a tumbled New Zealand greenstone piece sourced from the Hokitika

Each one comes with its own cotton bag and care card to guide you when you are ready to use it. Once used it can be returned to the whenua (earth).
